Meet Our Culinary Maestro
Chef Jorge Rivera Parrilla leads the kitchen at Canvas, inspired by art, colors, and haute cuisine. His vision aligns with the restaurant’s name as a blank canvas to showcase his culinary art, creating an experience that sets it apart from other restaurants on the island.
Chef Jorge Rivera Parrilla, a passionate culinary artist with 28 years of experience in the gastronomic industry, dedicated 4 of those years to imparting knowledge in the educational field. During this time, he discovered his inclination to share his extensive wisdom, leading him to become a culinary arts teacher at the Hotel School of San Juan. Here, he was able to instill his passion for cooking in others, dedicating 8 years to teaching.
In his constant pursuit of expanding his culinary knowledge, Chef Jorge has had the opportunity to travel, acquiring enriching ideas to delight palates. His passion for art and painting imparted a deep appreciation for creativity to Jorge. It is in the kitchen and in the creation of dishes that he finds his medium to express his art and creativity alongside his team. Using colors, shapes, flavors, and fresh products, he transforms each dish into an exquisite culinary masterpiece.
